Description

Kathleen is a freelance designer and embroiderer who produces a wide range of textile works, ranging from piecing, patching, overlaying and painted surfaces which she uses as backgrounds and collages to develop stitched pieces for small and larger project. In this workshop you will be shown many of the traditional techniques used in this ancient embroidery. We will look at how to couch the designs, apply padded leather work and how to apply purl wire with general sewing techniques to work a stunning dog rose with a ladybird. Or you may like to work two smaller pieces of goldwork to make decorative dangles with full patterns provided for all designs. Please ring to book your place.
